Sony will also show camcorder, system camera and production products in conjunction with dealer partners Videocraft and Lemac, plus give a demonstration of Sony’s capabilities in Gearhouse Broadcast’s HD1 outside broadcast vehicle.

Two new 3D cameras will be shown, the handheld HXR-NX3D1P NXCAM compact camcorder and the PMW-TD300 shoulder-mount camcorder. Sony will also show their new OLED, HD and 3D monitors. The Trimaster EL OLED monitors, the BVM-E and PVM series, are made for content creation. Sony’s OLED processor is designed to produce deep blacks with high dynamic range, blur-free motion, wide colour gamut and accurate picture reproduction.

The HXC-D70 camera, a more affordable option for live HD production systems, has a 2/3-inch full HD Exmor 3 CMOS image sensor for low-light shooting. It has a focus assist function with a range of parameters. The compact MCS-8M vision switcher has been released with it. The PMW-F3 Super 35mm camcorde is another new large sensor model from Sony.  New functions are an option for RGB 4:4:4 and S-LOG output, a 3D-link capability, and both wide angle and high power zoom lenses. The camcorder is also suited for use in 3D rigs able to support the camera’s size.

The F65 CineAlta is the first Sony camera with an 8K 20 megapixel sensor for 4K resolution, designed to produce images that have a filmic look and quality for use in feature film and TV programming. www.pro.sony.com.au
