Sony will host cinematographers and directors of photography in Melbourne and Sydney
at an information night on the new 4K-ready NEX-FS700.

Sony’s new NXCAM camcorder has a Super35mm CMOS sensor and Super Slow Motion capability. Attendees will hear from cinematographers who have been using the camera and see some of their work, and have the opportunity for hands-on experience with this and some of Sony’s other recently released professional cameras.

The guest speakers in Melbourne on 28 August are DP Jerry Creaney, a freelance and corporate videographer, and Producer/DP Steve Thompson from Appaloosa Films production company. Working with government and business clients, Appaloosa Films projects include TV commercials, specials and documentaries, and corporate and promotional videos. Steve’s involvement with post production and his background as an editor give him a particular insight into storytelling.

Cinematographers Rod Turnbull and Justin Rule will be presenting in Sydney on 30 August. Rod is a specialist video producer and cinematographer with a background in film and video for corporate work, TVCs and TV programming. Justin Rule has over 15 years of experience in film and television and is a specialist steadicam operator at Flomotion Steadicam.

Both events will begin at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. Please contact to RSVP by Thursday 23 August for full details - space is limited. pro.sony.com.au
