Matrox Vetura Capture is used to capture QuickTime files using conventional codecs installed on their specific editing systems. Users of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 can capture to the Matrox MPEG2 I-frame full raster 1920 x 1080 HD codec or to other Adobe-supported codecs. Final Cut Pro users can capture to ProRes and other Final Cut Pro codecs, and Avid Media Composer editors can capture directly to Avid DNxHD .mov files and other Avid-supported codecs. Release 2.1 for Mac is available now to registered users of Matrox MXO2 devices and Matrox CompressHD as a free download from the Matrox website. The Matrox MXO2 products for Mac come in sizes suitable for studios, on set, in the field and in OB vans. They work with Intel-based MacBook Pros, Mac Pros, and Apple Xserve systems and support many codecs, file formats, cameras and workflows including 3D. Application support includes FCP, Apple Color, Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, and others. The products have 10-bit HDMI input, output, and monitoring with calibration controls and 10-bit realtime hardware up/down/cross conversion on capture and output. They can be used for hardware acceleration of Final Cut Pro Dynamic RT segments, HDV and DVCPRO HD. The Vetura Playback software is a stand-alone application for playback of H.264 and .mov files. www.matrox.com/video For Australian distribution see www.newmagic.com.au |
