Machinima’s online global video entertainment network boasts an astounding 168 million unique gamers, who viewed more than 1.61 billion videos in April 2012, making Machinima the most popular entertainment channel on YouTube. | Gaikai says they are aiming to provide the same access to video games that consumers have to TV shows, movies and music by using Samsung Smart TVs to instantly supply console-like experiences, including video games and other content. Game titles will launch directly from the Samsung Smart Hub environment in the Samsung 7000 series and up 2012 LED Smart TVs, and can be played using game controllers in combination with the Samsung Smart TV. Over the past three years, Gaikai has been designing and building a fast interactive cloud network able to immediately deliver games without extra custom hardware or software. With the relationships they have with video game and development partners, Gaikai has a large catalogue of games they can provide across the web, including social networks like Facebook, or on Internet-connected devices including televisions, set-top boxes and tablets. www.gaikai.com |
