The complete portfolio of prefabricated, realistic 3D characters and animations from Rocketbox Rocketbox-unity3
Studios in Germany is now available directly in Unity’s native unitypackage file format.

This means Unity developers can use the assets inside Unity without having to export them from a 3D software package. Shaders, textures and animations are already set up in Unity for use with these assets, allowing them to be used in scenes within a short development timeframe.

Rocketbox and Unity Technologies supply tools and resources for building interactive real time applications for training simulation and game development, virtual reality, architecture, medical, film and visualization. Assets created at Rocketbox range from civilians, soldiers, Special Forces and law enforcement characters, to medical and work uniforms, animals and others. The Complete Characters HD series of characters, a new product, has a facial animation setup for visualization of realistic speech and expression of emotions, while still maintaining technical specifications for running smoothly in real time applications.

All Rocketbox products can be purchased in 3ds Max or Maya file formats, and now as Unity packages as well. The packages contain skinned meshes and animations in FBX 2010 file format and textures in TGA file format, plus a folder of the textures also in Photoshop *.PSD file format.

Rocketbox is an art studio in Hanover, Germany that specializes in very realistic animated 3D human characters and animals, sold mainly as model libraries. The assets are optimized for real time applications and for rendering. Rocketbox does not sell all types of 3D models or resell models from other vendors. They offer only their own creations, made to fit together to avoid problems when clients import the assets into graphics engines or scenes. Characters and animations are built in standardized systems for developers to use. For example all animations that belong to a package fit to the character sets without further adjustment. Animations start and end in preset poses, consistent with the animation sets.

The 3D models and bone skeletons are optimized as much as possible to keep render times low. High density polygon areas not contributing to visuals are avoided. The company, founded in 2003, is also available for custom 3D graphics and motion capture.  www.rocketbox-libraries.com   http://unity3d.com.
