Matrox DS1 Thunderbolt Boosts MacBook Connections

From a single Thunderbolt connection, users can add multiple peripherals including either a large DVI or HDMI display, full-size keyboard and mouse, printer, scanner, storage, smart phone, optical drive, camera, flash drive and other peripherals. Audio input and output connections support microphones, speakers and headsets. For full-size displays, Matrox DS1/DVI works with DVI displays and the DS1/HDMI with HDMI displays with embedded audio.

The gigabit Ethernet port also opens connectivity to a wired network, enabling data transfers substantially faster than Wi-Fi. Matrox DS1 works as the last device in a Thunderbolt chain. By positioning Thunderbolt storage with pass-through between the laptop and the DS1 you can remove the laptop only, or the laptop plus storage, with a single disconnection. Handling connections through the one Thunderbird cable allows you to come and go without disconnecting and re-connecting all devices each time.
