AEAF 2013 Call For Entries

Entries are now invited for the AEAF Awards 2013, an international competition
and screening, now in its 17th year with entries from around the world.
The Australian Effects & Animation Awards are open to all digital content creators and motion graphics, digital video, animation and effects professionals and students. Entries are now invited in 14 categories:
Commercials Animation - Commercials VFX - Feature Films Animation - Feature Films VFX - Web Viral - Titles / Openers -  Idents & Stings - Short Film - Music Video - TV Series - Flash  Animation - Student - Games Cinematics - Education & Training.

The deadline for entries is 3 June 2013. A panel of judges will select the top ten entries in each category for screening, and the top scoring entry from each category will be the winner and receives the award. The AEAF Awards finalists and winners will be shown at a screening event on 9 July 2013. Also, anyone entering work in the AEAF Awards has the opportunity to show their projects in the AEAF Online Festival.

Please take time to fill in the AEAF Awards Entry Form and send it to us with your entry. You are welcome to enter any projects that were completed no later than 3 June 2013.

Some of the winners at the 2012 Festival were 'Prometheus' from MPC, 'The Adventures of Tintin' from Weta Digital, 'Kia – Share Some Soul' from Method Studios, 'The Gate' from Joyrider Films,  'Civilization 5' game cinematic from Plastic Wax Animation and Foxtel idents from Digital Pulse.

Previous winners of the AEAF Awards are among the world's best known post-production companies, effects houses and film studios. Past winners include Passion Pictures, Weta Digital, Animal Logic, Industrial Light & Magic, Pixar Animation Studios, Digital Pictures, Fuel VFX, Iloura, Sony Pictures Imageworks, The Mill, Framestore, MPC and many others.

Winning entries receive the specially commissioned Award and, most important, exposure through the screening of the entries, the Online Festival, press coverage including the Showcase issue of Digital Media World and the recognition of the digital content creation, animation and VFX communities.
