New Training Courses Open at Digistor for Editing and Post

Digistor is a supplier of professionally supported software and hardware for the creation, management, storage and delivery of digital media. Servicing the film, video post production and broadcast markets, Digistor handles installation, training and support of non-linear edit suites and finishing tools including Adobe, Apple, Autodesk and Avid.
 
As a service to customers the company runs classroom style training courses together with specialist onsite training to suit requirements. Current courses at their Sydney Training Centre include the following:
 
Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Fundamentals
9am Friday 24 October or Thursday 20 November at Digistor
Get up to speed quickly with Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve advanced colour grading system.
DaVinci Resolve combines advanced colour correction with multi track editing, so now you can edit, colour correct, finish and deliver all from one system. Davinci Resolve is scalable and resolution independent, suitable for use on set, in a small studio or integrated into the large production pipelines. All attendees receive a complimentary full colour poster courtesy of Blackmagic Design.
 
BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve Advanced
9am Friday 21 November at Digistor
Take the next step with the Blackmagic Design’s advanced colour grading system.
This Advanced day course is designed for participants who have completed the BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve Fundamentals Day or current users who want to expand their skills.
All attendees receive a complimentary full colour poster courtesy of Blackmagic Design.

Avid Media Composer for Final Cut Pro Users Bridging Course
9am Wednesday 22 October at Digistor
A single day course for FCP editors that facilitates the transition to AVID Media Composer. Discover the differences between the two programs and learn project migration from FCP to AVID, media management, project setup, user settings, timeline operations, titling, VFX and grading.

Following the release of MAXON Cinema 4D R16, Digistor is scheduling monthly training dates through to January 2015:

Cinema 4D Essentials
Thursday 9 October, Wednesday 12 November, Wednesday 10 December, Thursday 22 January
Cinema 4D is one of the most comprehensive and flexible 3D modelling, animation and rendering applications for broadcast, film, design and motion graphics.  Among its top qualities is simplicity of use. this introduction helps artists learn the essential skills quickly to get started creating 3D images using CINEMA 4D’s intuitive design and logical workflow.

Cinema 4D Extension
Friday 10 October, Thursday 13 November, Thursday 11 December, Friday 23 January
This Extension day is designed for those who have experience in 3D or have completed the Cinema 4D Essentials course at Digistor and would like to learn more on how to become skilled in this area of production.
