SPIN VFX Expands Feature Film Talent

SPIN VFX has taken on new senior artists with extensive, varied feature film experience, 
CG Supervisor Mayur Patel, Tim Alexander as Asset Supervisor/Matte Painter and
Wojciech Zielinski, VFX Supervisor.
| CG Supervisor Mayur Patel has worked in the industry as an artist, supervisor and technologist for 15 years. His filmography includes over 18 major films, notably ‘Tarzan’, ‘Sleepy Hollow’, ‘AI’, ‘Hulk’ and ‘Master and Commander’. At ILM, Mayur was a charter member of the production problem-solving unit known as the R&D Technical Directors. As Visual Effects Department Supervisor at Animal Logic, Mayur worked with George Miller on ‘Happy Feet’. He has also written and published a book in 2009, ‘The Digital Visual Effects Studio: The Artists and Their Work Revealed’, to share his knowledge and experience. | |

| Tim Alexander, SPIN VFX’s new Asset Supervisor / Matte Painter, began his career in 1994 in games helping Tom Clancy as he started his company EA in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2006, Tim shifted to visual effects for feature films, eventually leading to three years at Digital Domain working directly for VFX Supervisor Erik Nash in Los Angeles, where he further developed his talents as an asset artist. Recent credits include ‘Real Steel’, ‘The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo’, ‘X-Men: First Class’, ‘TRON: Legacy’, ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’, and ‘Spider-Man 3’. | |

| Wojciech Zielinski, Visual Effects Supervisor, began his career 13 years ago as a digital artist by combining the disciplines of computer animation, film and architecture. He rejoined SPIN VFX after working for 10 years as a visual effects supervisor. His last project working with ‘Cosmopolis’, directed by David Cronenberg, widened his skills because he directed the VFX unit for driving plates and green screen elements as well as supervised 385 shots. | |

| His experience includes work as a CG supervisor, modelling supervisor and compositor. Among his other film credits are ‘Silent Hill: Revelation 3D’, ‘The Vow’, ‘A Dangerous Method’, ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D’, ‘Amelia’ and ‘The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day’. He is currently on location for SPIN VFX in Hungary supervising the third season of the Showtime/CTV series ‘The Borgias’. www.spinpro.com |
