The work submitted was excellent and spanned all styles and techniques of animation and effects. The many people attending were amazed at the content in our Showreel, which will inspire their work for next year's AEAF. We extend a special thanks to VFX Supervisor Chris White from Weta Digital, who came over from Auckland on behalf of his company's winning entry in the Feature Film VFX category, 'Avatar'.
Following the success of the event and the quality of entries, we are encouraged to expand the scope of the Festival and are now making plans to increase its reach next year. All information will be posted online. We hope that you and your team will start thinking now about projects to submit!
