Adobe After Effects CS6 Camera Tracker Exchanges with Cinema 4D
An important update to After Effects in Creative Suite 6 is the new 3D camera tracker. Using
free plug-ins from Maxon, the results of this tracker can be exported into Cinema 4D.
| The new camera tracker gives control over depth of field, shadows and reflections when tracking 3D elements, automatically analyzes and places 3D track points onto 2D footage in the background while you work. The results of the new 3D camera tracker can be exported into Cinema 4D R13 by downloading free export plug-ins from Maxon.net. The Cinema 4D plug-in allows you to export a composition from After Effects into C4D, and the Cinema 4D AE plug-in allows you to export a project from Cinema 4D and export it into After Effects. | |

| In After Effects, you can start, for example, with tracked footage, the resulting camera, a light, shadows and null objects. The composition could then be exported, saved as a Cinema 4D file, and opened in Cinema 4D where you will have the same light, camera, any solids and null objects from After Effects. You can now create further 3D elements, or since you know that exact locations of the major objects, you can apply more modelled, elements directly onto them. You can then produce renders and bring the updated project back into After Effects for compositing. www.maxon.net www.adobe.com/au | |
